A multi-vintage rosé is birth in two ways. the first pressing or saigné of mainly Pinot Noir and some chardonnay, the amount of which remains a secret. Three years sur lie aging a blend of 25 vintages of reserved wines is added to the mix then a minimum of a further five months of aging after disgorgement. The wine is of a light pink copper color with an inkling of raspberry. On the nose aromas of red currants, wild strawberry and violet. The fragrance of citrus fruit reveals the vague presence of chardonnay. On the palate lively red fruits are revealed with full freshness. The finish is long and delicate.
